How to get to St Barth

  • Traveling from the United States the most convenient way to get to St Barts is through a connecting flight in St Marteen.

Navigating Juliana International Airport in St Marteen

  • US Airways has agreements with local airlines to check you baggage all the way to St Barth. When arriving in St Marteen you can proceed directly to the transit lounge.
  • If you check bags on any other airline, you will need to retrieve your luggage in St Marteen and recheck them to St Barts. As you exit the plane follow the EXIT sign and not the Connecting Flight signs. Go through immigration and retrieve your luggage. Head to the departure terminal and check-in with the local airline you are flying to St Barts. You will need to go to the Airport Departure Fee Office to retrieve a Passenger Receipt. There is no fee if you are in transit, or it is $25.00 if you stay in St Marteen longer than 24 hours.
With this receipt you will proceed through immigration again to get to the departure lounge.
